The tune appears in John Johnson’s Choice Collection of 200 Favourite Country Dances, vol. 5 (London, 1750), The London Magazine, or Gentleman’s Monthly Intelligencer (1751, p. 469), and in Walsh’s Compleat Country Dancing Master, vol. the 5th (London, 1754).
