WILLIAM J. HARDIE. Scottish, Reel (cut time). A Major. Standard tuning (fiddle). AB. Composed in 1930 by J. Murdoch Henderson {1902-1972} (an M.A. of Aberdeen University and a teacher of maths and science in that city) in honor of Aberdeen fiddler Bill Hardie (1916-1995), appearing in print first in Henderson's Flowers of Scottish Melody (1935).
