WILLIE WINKIE [1]. Irish, Air (2/4 time). G Major. Standard tuning (fiddle). AABBC. The first strains of many of the versions of the "Willy Winkie" song and tune cannon are very similar to each other, although subsequent strains diverge. Other "Willy Winkie" versions only show distant relation. "Mary O'Hara (1)", also printed in Joyce's collection, is a distanced 6/8 version of his "Willie Winkie (1)."
