WINDING ROADS OF ADVANCE, THE. Irish, Reel. A Dorian. Standard tuning (fiddle). AA'BB. Composed by fiddler James Kelly, originally from Dublin, who emigrated to the United States in 1978. Kelly was visiting a friend, Fred Lail, a fiddler who lived in Advance, North Carolina, and took a walk along the back roads.
