EDDY POIRIER (b. 1943). Eddy ( 'Eddie') Poirier was born in Rogersville, New Brunswick, in 1943, and is a multi-instrumentalist who plays fiddle, accordion, mandolin, guitarist and five-string banjo. He currently performs with his band Grassline, a bluegrass band. However, Poirier is proficient in Irish, Acadian, Maritimes ('Down-east') and Bluegrass styles. A truck driver by profession, he also repairs and reconditions instruments.
