Biographical notes
FIRMIN MALLET. Little information is available on this Acadian fiddler, born in Shipphagan, northern New Brunswick, at the end of the 19th century. He was reputed to have been a small man, who entertained with his fiddle and his politics. In 1919 he married Julianne Boudreau and together they had issue. Firmin died sometime after 1974 in either Allardville or nearby Saint-Sauveur, New Brunswick, where he lived in latter life.
