DANCER, THE. American, Waltz. E Modal. Standard tuning (fiddle). AB. Composed by Larry Unger in 1987, who explains: "I used to play the piano late at night after everyone else had gone to bed. One night while playing I looked to see Judy Ericson dancing to my improvisations, which unnerved me at first, but eventually I got to like it. So I named this tune for her" (Matthiesen).
