EVIL DIANE. American, Reel. A Major. Standard tuning (fiddle). AABB. Composed by Bloomington, Indiana, mandolin and 4-string banjo player Sam Bartlett, named for his sister-in-law, Evie Ladin; 'Evil Diane' is an anagram of her name, as he told Susan Songer (Portland Collection). Phil Cummingham's "Four Stroke Reel" is a similar tune.
