PADDY O'BRIEN'S (JIG) [2]. AKA and see "Irish Lilt (2) (An)," "Kane's Jig," "Miss Walsh," “Miss Walsh's Fancy.” Irish, Jig. G Major. Standard tuning (fiddle). AABBCC. No relation to “Paddy O'Brien's Jig (1)" or "Paddy O'Brien's Jig (3). The tune appears as "Miss Walshe's" on the album "The Funny Reel: Traditional Music of Ireland" (1979) by Joe Burke, Andy McGann, and Felix Dolan, however, it is much older and appears as “An Irish Lilt” in Kerr’s Merry Melodies vol. 2 (c. 1880's, p. 27), and even earlier in New York publisher Edward Riley's Flute Melodies vol. 1 (1814, p. 11).
