ROAD TO ATHLONE, THE (An gotar go At-Luain). AKA and see "Cork City." Irish, Slip Jig. F Major/D Minor. Standard tuning (fiddle). AABB. See also the similar "Captain McDonald's Favorite" and "Come Under My Dimity," particularly noticeable in the second strain. "Bunch of Hawes (The)" AKA "Hawthorn (2) (The)" is similar in the first strain, notes researcher Paul de Grae.
