P.M. SAM SCOTT. Scottish, March (6/8 time). D Major. Standard tuning (fiddle). AABB’CCDD’. Composed by Pipe Major Peter MacLeod in honor of Pipe-Major Sam Scott of the Cameron Highlanders of Ottawa, who piped troops ashore in 1944 during the Allied invasion of the beaches of Normandy.
