McGETTRICK'S. AKA and see "Spindle Shanks." Irish, Reel. G Major. Standard tuning (fiddle). AB (Black): AABB (Taylor). The title references whistle player James McGettrick of County Sligo, however, it is an older tune known as "Spindle Shanks".

Source for notated version: a recording by accordion player Paddy O'Brien and fiddler James Kelly [Black]; set dance session music at Na Píobairí Uilleann, recorded in the 1980's [Taylor].
