GRAND OLD MACINTYRE. Scottish, Pipe March (2/4 time). A Mixolydian. Standard tuning (fiddle). AABB. Composed by Scots fiddler-composer J. Scott Skinner (1843-1927); his handwritten manuscript [1] notes "Keith Aug: 15, 1888." On the second page of the manuscript, after the variations, Skinner gave that "Mr. McIntyre is Com(mercial): Traveler. Grantown," by which is meant that McIntyre was a traveling salesman.
