DEAREST MARY. AKA - "Dearest Mae." American, Song Tune. G Major. Standard tuning (fiddle). ABC. The melody was composed for a song for the minstrel stage. The song was published in The Ethiopian Glee Book in 1848, and used for a quadrille tune in the Peter Beemer Manuscript from an 1860's Idaho mining camp.
