TEXAS QUICKSTEP. AKA and see "Rachael's Hornpipe." American, Reel (cut time). D Major. Standard tuning (fiddle). AABB. "Texas Quickstep" was recorded in Dallas, Texas, in October, 1928, by the Red Headed Fiddlers, A.L. "Red"Steeley (1893-1969) on fiddle and J.W. "Red" Graham on banjo for this cut. The recording was not commercially released until April, 1929.
