INDEPENDENT HORNPIPE, THE. AKA and see "Damhsa," "Vendome Hornpipe." AKA - "The Independent." Irish, Hornpipe. F Major. Standard tuning (fiddle). AABB. The tune appears as "<incipit title="load:Vendome" width=850 link="https://tunearch.org/wiki/Vendome Hornpipe">Vendome Hornpipe</incipit>" in Ryan's Mammoth Collection (published 1883).
