ONLY THINK OF THAT. AKA and see "Barbadoes (The)." American, Jig (6/8 time). D Major. Standard tuning (fiddle). AABB. The melody was printed by Boston music publisher Elias Howe in his Third Part of the Musician's Companion (1844). He also published it in his later works The Hibernia Collection (1860), under the Howe pseudonym 'Patrick O'Flannagan', and in his Musician's Omnibus Nos. 6 & 7 (1880-1882). Howe gave the provenance as "Irish", however, the jig is a version of the English country dance tune "Barbadoes (The)", printed in London in 1731 by John Walsh.
