TOM TULLY. AKA and see "Tom Fowler's Hornpipe," "Tom Tollins." Irish, Set Dance (2/4 or whole time). G Major. Standard tuning (fiddle). AABB. The melody is originally English, dating at least to the early 19th century where it can be found as "Tom Fowler's Hornpipe" and "Tom Tollins." Where Francis O'Neill obtained the tune for his publication O'Neill's Irish Music (1915) is unknown, as is how he thought it might be Irish in provenance.
