PADDY ON THE TURNPIKE [3]. AKA and see "Wagoner (1)." American, Reel (cut time). USA, West Virginia. C Major. Standard tuning (fiddle). AA'BB (Phillips): ABBC (Reiner & Anick). A version of the reel usually known as "Wagoner (1)" (and variants of that title) recorded by both W.Va.'s Kessinger Brothers (Clark & Luches) in 1928 and Fiddlin' Cowan Powers [1] as "Patty on the Turnpike" (Edden Hammons also played a "Patty on the Turnpike," but it is a crosstuned AEae version in the key of 'A').
