MY OWN SWEETHEART (Mo searc grad fein). AKA and see "Síos i measg na gcoillte" (Down among the woods). Irish, Air (4/4 time). F Major/D Minor. Standard tuning (fiddle). AB. Fr. John Quinn finds that O'Neill's "My own sweetheart" is a very close variant of "Síos i measg na gcoillte" (Down among the woods), an air from wikipedia:George_Petrie_(artist)'s (1790-1866) volume, who had it from another Irish music collector, wikipedia:Patrick_Weston_Joyce (1827-1914), who had obtained it in 1864. Petrie included the note: "A Mayo tune."
