DAWLEY'S DELIGHT. AKA and see "Scart Slide." Irish, Slide (12/8 or 6/8 time). D Major. Standard tuning (fiddle). AABB: AA'BB' (Beisswenger). Peter Browne, in liner notes to RTE CD 183, writes that the tune may have been named for a local Lisheen (County Kerry) man called 'Paty' Daly (pronounced 'Dawley') who was a fan of Murphy's music.
