"La Caraquet" is fromthe repertoire of Aurel Parent, Cap Chat, Gaspesie, recorded in thefield in 1955 by Father Germain Lemieux while on vacation. M. Parentwas aged about 90 at the time, and well-known in the region as a dance fiddler.Fr. Lemieux sent Lisa Ornstein his tape recording of Parent when she was researching.AEae tuning (fiddle).
