(A)ROUND THE WORLD FOR SPORT [2]. AKA and see “Conlon’s Dream,” “Little Pig Lamenting the Empty Trough (The),” “Sword in Hand," "Sword in the Hand.” Irish, Reel (whole time). E Minor. Standard tuning (fiddle). AA’BB. Despite the cadences, the tune "rests" in the key of E minor (some versions in E dorian). The tune was recorded on a cylinder in 1919 by Irish-American piper Patsy Tuohey. See note for "Around the World for Sport (4)" for background information on the title.
