BONNY CUCKOO, THE. AKA and see "Pretty Cuckoo (The)," "Young Cuckoo." Irish, Air (6/8 time). G Major. Standard tuning (fiddle). The tune is a variant of the well-known composition "Sheebeg and Sheemore" attributed to harper Turlough Carolan and first printed by John and William Neale in Dublin in their Celebrated Irish Tunes (c. 1726).
