"The Bonny Lasses of Linkfield", by an unknown and uncredited composer, was printed by Edinburgh music publisher and music-seller Niel Stewart sometime between 1793 and 1802. The title may refer to inhabitants of Linkfield House, Musselburgh, Midlothian, east of Edinburgh, a small two-story mansion.
