Source for notated version: - African-American fiddler biography:Bill Driver (Miller County, "Little Dixie" region, Missouri) [Christeson]. Christeson notes that Driver's repertory was "the best example of a strictly indigenous" group of tunes that he knew of. Driver was a popular dance fiddler, who also played contests, and was a significant regional influence whose hey-day was in the first half of the 20th century. He died in the mid-1980's, reportedly reaching the age of 103.
