CONNOLLY'S JIG. AKA and see "Jig (57)," "Tim Hogan's Jig," "Touch it up tight." Irish, Jig (6/8 time). E Dorian. Standard tuning (fiddle). AABBCC. Researcher Lisa Shields finds the tune cognate with James Goodman's "Touch it up tight," and both members of the broad "Huish the Cat (from under the table)" family of tunes. Conor Ward links it with latter 19th century Co. Leitrim musician Stephen Grier's untitled "Jig (57)."
