CRAZY JACK. AKA and see "Lord Alexander's Reel." Canadian, Reel (cut time). Canada, Cape Breton (Acadian). D Major. Standard tuning (fiddle). AB. "Crazy Jack" was an untitled tune in the repertoires of several Acadian fiddlers from Cape Breton Island, including Joseph Larade, Joe Cormier (Chéticamp, north Cape Breton), and Joe Confiant. However, the melody is a version of the 20th century 'Down East' tune called "Lord Alexander's Reel," composed as a 'straight' (regular eight-bar measures) dance tune by Abbie Andrews of St. Catharine's, Ontario.
