EARL MITTON'S BREAKDOWN. Canadian, Reel. Canada, New Brunswick. B Flat Major. Standard tuning (fiddle). AABB. Composed by New Brunswick fiddler and composer Earl Mitton [1] (1924-1991), a friend of radio and TV fiddler Don Messer. Mitton himself broadcast for years in New Brunswick, and for a time in the late 1950's and early 1960's had his own TV broadcast. See also his "Shelburne Rotary Breakdown."
