County Leitrim piper and fiddler biography:Stephen Grier (c. 1824-1894) entered a version of this march in Book 3 of his large c. 1883 music manuscript collection as "New Bugle Horn (The)," a version of which (in three parts) was printed by Peter Kennedy as "Bugle Quickstep No. 3" (for which see "Bugle Quickstep (4) (The)" in the Traditional Tune Archive).
