HANK OF CABBAGE, THE. AKA and see: "Bag of Turf (The)," "Kilbaha," "Laurel Groves (The)," "Yankee Cabbage (The)." Irish, Reel (cut time). D Major. Standard tuning (fiddle). AB. The reel "Hank of Cabbage" is contained in the 1883 music manuscript collection of County Leitrim musician biography:Stephen Grier. A cognate version can also be found in the music manuscript in the possession of the biography:Rev.
