HORNPIPE [55]. Irish, Hornpipe (whole time). G Major. Standard tuning (fiddle). AB. This untitled hornpipe appears in Book 3 of County Leitrim piper and fiddler Stephen Grier's large c. 1883 music manuscript collection. Francis O'Niell's air "Snow Storm (The)" is cognate in the first strain. Grier researchers Fr. John Quinn and Conor Ward find cognate tunes in "Miss Lacey's Hornpipe," "Organ (The)" and "Henry's."
