HUMOURS OF LAST NIGHT, THE. Irish, Jig (6/8 time). G Major. Standard tuning (fiddle). ABCD (Stanford/Petrie): AABBCCDD (Kennedy, O'Farrell). A four-part set, a version of "Merrily Danced the Quaker's Wife/Merrily Kissed the Quaker's Wife" or "Merrily Danced the Quaker." Except for the second strain, the tune is quite similar to that popularized by the Irish groups The Chieftains and Planxty in the latter 20th century.
