Originally from N:Tullymet, near Pitlochry, Perthshire. He moved to London in the last decade N:of his life. "Lady Charlotte Lennox's Reel" was composed by Edinburgh fiddler-composer Robert Mackintosh (c. 1745-1808) and named for Lady Charlotte Lennox, 4th Duchess of Richmond, and eldest daughter of Alexander, 4th Duke of Gordon and Jane Maxwell (see "Lady Charlotte Lennox's Strathspey" for more.
