Standard tuning (fiddle). AABB. Charles Watson-Wentworth, 2nd Marquis of Rockingham (1730-82)[1], was not only twice Prime Minister of England, but also was a horse-breeder and racehorse owner from his extensive Yorkshire estate. In 1752 he started his first horses: a filly by Cade, a brown horse Scampton Cade (also sired by Cade), Silver Legs, and Yorkshire Jack, got by Jack Come Tickle Me. Scampton Cade placed first in York in 1753, winning His Majesty’s Plate of 100 Guineas for 6-y-o carrying 12st over 4 miles. Rockingham continued to breed and race until his death in 1782.
