MISS CHARLOTTE MURRAY'S REEL. Scottish, Reel. "Miss Charlotte Murray's Reel" was composed by gamekeeper and fiddler-composer biography:John Crerar, named for the eldest daughter of James Murray, General Lord Glenlyon, and his wife Lady Emily Percy, Charlotte (b. 1817). Crerar was employed by the 4th Duke of Atholl, John Murray, and composed a number of tunes for family members and events. Charlotte was the duke's granddaughter.
