MRS. REID OF KILCALMKILL'S STRATHSPEY. Scottish, Strathspey (whole time). D Major. Standard tuning (fiddle). AB. The title perhaps refers to Alexandrina MacKay, who married Gabriel Reed in 1805 in Caithness. Reed was a leading Sutherland sheep farmer whose Kilcalmkill farm stretched from Strathbrora to the Strath of Kildonan.
