MY LITTLE HOME IN WEST VIRGINIA. Old-Time, Listening piece (cut time). USA, W.Va. A Major. Standard tuning (fiddle). AA'BB'CC'. Identified as a West Virginia tune, recorded in 1952 by the duo of Ellis Hall and Bill Addis. Ivan M. Tribe (Rio Grande College) notes that Mortgantown, W.Va., glassblower and fiddler Ellis Hall (1893-1977), who composed the tune, was a talented musician who occasionally broadcast on the radio (WMMN) but who never played as a full-time professional. This was his first and only recording, and sold about 18,000 copies. It has also been recorded by Cy Williams (brother of Doc) and Curly Ray Cline.
