AKA – “Poor Old Woman,” “Poor Auld Woman," "Shan Van Vocht (1) (The).” AKA and see "Bonaparte Crossing the Alps," "Jerry Daly's Hornpipe," "Sean bean boct (1)." Irish (originally), New England; Hornpipe, Reel. A Dorian (most versions): G Dorian (Levey). Standard tuning (fiddle). AABB. Kerr lists the tune as an “Irish Reel.” It has the same melodic contours as does “Loch Leven Castle”/Tomraney Castle (1)," and "Shady Groves" and "Bantry Bay Hornpipe (1)" are also related.
