PORT AN ACHRÉIDH. AKA - "Achréidh Jig," "Second Cousin, The." Irish, Single Jig (6/8 time). D Mixolydian. Standard tuning (fiddle). AABB. Seamus Mac Mathuna picked up this tune from a Fleadh in the mid-1960's but didn't get a name for it. Soliciting the opinion of other musicians he was told that it must be a 'relation' of "Garrett Barry's Jig," and so he christened it "The Second Cousin."
