G Major. Standard tuning (fiddle). AB. A Cape Breton version of the tune, in ‘A’ Major, is "Cuir Sa' Chiste Mhóir Mi/Put Me in the Big Chest.” A version was entered as an untitled reel (No. 280) into Book 2 of the c. 1883 music manuscript collection of County Leitrim fiddler and piper biography:Stephen Grier, while Francis O'Neill printed the reel as "Rose in the Garden (1) (The)" (DMI, 576).
