RIPITCHOUNE.  French-Canadian, Reel (whole or cut time). Canada, New Brunswick.  D Major. Standard tuning (fiddle). AA'BB'. "Ripitchoune" was a tune from the repertory of New Brunswick fiddler Firmin Mallet, perhaps composed by him. The tune was taught be Robin LeBlanc as 'crooked' (irregular meter) in the second strain, but a 'straight' or 'square' version was recorded by La Famille LeBlanc.
