ROVER'S REEL. English? Scotch? American; Reel (whole time). G Major. Standard tuning (fiddle). AABB. A reel of unknown provenance, with a title that may have been supplied by Elias Howe. A version of the reel was entered into the c. 1820-1850 music manuscript collection of musician William Clarke of Feltwell, Norwalk, East Anglia, with the title "Scotch Reel." If the tune is Scotch, it has yet to be identified.
