TOM MORAN'S FANCY. Irish, Slide (12/8 time). Slide (12/8 time). D Major. Standard tuning (fiddle). AABB. The tune is sourced to 20th century Westmeath accordion player John Joe Gannon. It is named for his source, a fiddler from his district named Tom Moran. Gannon said that when he was young single jigs/slides were dance tunes as common in his area as jigs and reels.
