TURNPIKE GATE [3], THE. AKA and see "Moving Bog (1) (The)," "Killannan's Fancy," "Ryan's Reel (1)." Irish, Reel. G Major. Standard tuning (fiddle). AB. There is some superficial resemblance to "Turnpike Gate (1) (The)." The tune is often played with "Ten Pound Float (The)." The alternate title “Ryan’s” honors Clare fiddler Joe Ryan who recorded it with Mícheál Ó hAlmhain on a 1970 Comhaltas LP, according to Paul de Grae.
