V.A. MACLELLAN’S. Canadian, Reel. Canada, Nova Scotia. A Major. Standard tuning (fiddle). AAB. Barry Shears identifies “V.A.” as itinerant musician Vincent MacLellan (1856-1935), originally of Broad Cove, Nova Scotia, a bard and musician who played the fiddle, bagpipe and piano. Several of his poems were published in a book entitled Failte Cheap Breatuinn (1892).
