WALTZ [95]. Canadian, American; Waltz (3/4 time). C Major. Standard tuning (fiddle). AA'. This untitled waltz was in the repertory of Métis fiddler Grandy Fagnan (c.1902-1986, Camperville, Manitoba), recorded in the field by Anne Lederman in the mid-1980's. The tune is not Métis fiddler Andy De Jarlis's "Red River Waltz (1)," but rather is a version of the Stripling Brothers "Red River Waltz (2)." See note for "Red River Waltz" for more information.
