Annotation talk:Hull's Victory (1)

I've played this tune for many years. Years ago I was struck by a resemblance between Hull's Victory and the theme of a Corelli sonata which was widely known to 19th Century violinists. It's the 4th movement (a gavotte) of Corelli's Opus 5, Sonata #10 in F. The key signature is the same and the melodic motifs are very similar.
