BERT MURRAY. Scottish, Hornpipe. D Major ('A' part) & G Major ('B' part). Standard tuning (fiddle). AB. This hornpipe was composed by Scottish fiddler Arthur S. Robertson in honor of Bert Murray (b. Aberdeen, 1913), a largely self-taught fiddler and composer of over 350 tunes. He has been a leading figure in traditional Scots fiddling in the latter 20th century.
