Boll Weevil (1)
BOLL WEEVIL . Old-Time, Breakdown. G Major. Standard tuning (fiddle). ABB'. The melody has irregular measures at the end of the 'A' and the second repetition of the 'B' part. The boll weevil insect spread from Mexico to the United States at the end of the 19th century, destroyed cotton crops in its wake as it spread north.
